My friend Richie asked me yesterday why I stopped writing LinkedIn posts. I quickly told him it was because I’m on Twitter now. On Twitter, it didn’t make sense for me to capture my thoughts the same way I did on LinkedIn.
Though this is my current reality, I realized when he asked me that I want to start writing again. After moving into a founder role at my company, Castle, my life has been quite diverse and sporadic. Though it has become chaotic, whenever I talk to my friends and family, I gloss over it quickly. I gloss over it quickly because I do so many different things everyday, I have a hard time recounting all the tasks I complete and events I participate in.
Hopefully, if I start writing again, I will become better at recalling the memories I am creating.
Yesterday, I worked through a few technical challenges for my start-up. We wanted to make certain parts of our website to load faster. Yesterday, I figured out how to make the initial load happen faster. I also worked through some nuances related to the ERC-1155 token standard.
Our website makes it easier for people to buy and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs). There are two popular NFT standards, ERC-721 and ERC-1155. ERC-721 are more common than the ERC-1155, however, the ERC-1155 token standard is starting to be used more and more (e.g. Ragnarok).
The way a website would interact with these token standards varies slightly, so yesterday, I added the changes required so one can receive, send, buy these types of tokens with our website.
In the evening, I went to dinner with Richie. We went to Cocoron. A restaurant that serves soba and Japanese (alternative according to them lmao) curry. We had some spicy cucumbers, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), warm soba, and Japanese curry. Everything was delicious.
On the way home, we stopped at a Chinese barbecue stand and we picked up some lamb skewers. These were some of the most delicious skewers I’ve ever eaten. They were seasoned perfectly, and had a great balance of meat and fat.
Upon returning home, I left immediately to go to the gym.
Once I got home from the gym, I fell asleep almost instantly. It was a fun and productive day and I am looking forward to the next!
